What to Expect When You Visit Klamath Christian Center
Thinking of visiting Klamath Christian Center? Here is some info that may be helpful.
For Starters:
We're real people who are being changed by Jesus, day by day. We don't have it all together and we don't expect you to either. Simply come as you are and enjoy your time with us. We believe great things are ahead as you pursue a meaningful relationship with God.
Service Details:
We meet every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and service lasts about 75 minutes. Please arrive about 15 minutes before the service to park and find a seat. We encourage you to arrive earlier if you'd like to grab a free cup of coffee or tea and meet a friendly face at our Welcome Center. Please plan to stay for a few minutes after the service to enjoy conversation and meet new people.
What Is a Service Like?
When you enter the doors our greeters will welcome you and can answer any questions you might have. As you enter the sanctuary, a greeter will hand you a bulletin and an usher can help you find a seat.
Service begins with songs that we sing as worship and praise to God. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. Most people stand during this time, but you are always welcome to sit down whenever you prefer. Lyrics will be projected on large screens in the sanctuary in case you are not familiar with the songs.
Our church is fully funded by the giving of our members. As a guest, we do not expect you to give. If you wish to give a gift, you may place cash or a check in the offering bags we usually pass during the service. You may also give online or ask an usher or a volunteer who can direct you to the offering boxes in various locations.
As our guest, please take a few moments to fill out a connect card which is found in the seat pocket in front of you. We would be delighted to respond to your request for information, pray for your needs, or hear what you thought of our church. This is a valuable way you can communicate with us, and you can simply drop the card in an offering bag, into an offering box or turn it in at the Welcome Center after service.
What Do You Offer for My Kids?
Our KCC Kids children's ministry, ages 0-5th grade, is loved by the kids and we have security measures in place so that you can relax and enjoy the service. When you check your child in you will be given a tag to bring back when you pick up your child.
Children, including babies through 5th grade may be checked-in as early as 9:15am. KCC Kids check-in is located next to the Cafe in the main lobby; look for a tall sign. There is also a nursing room with privacy in the rear of the sanctuary for mothers that prefer to keep young children with them during the service. Check out our KCC Kids page for more information.
What About Middle School and High School Students?
During the school year, Middle school students 6th-8th grade check in at our upstairs Youth Center starting at 9:15am and then join us in the main service for worship and back to the Youth Center for games and teaching. During the summer, both Middle school and High School students participate in the main worship service with the adults on Sunday and do not need to check in upstairs. You may notice teens serving in areas of ministry during our services. We celebrate this and welcome teens to serve in many different areas. There are also KCC Youth gatherings throughout the week, and you can find more information on our KCC Youth page.
What Can I Expect From The Sermon?
Our focus in teaching at Klamath Christian Center is to equip you for a life-giving personal relationship with God, and to bring practical Bible teaching to help you handle real life issues. Our Lead Pastor and main teaching pastor is Jake Poetzl. He shares the responsibility of teaching with a team of ministry staff, including Kelly Slater, Philip Perkins, and Cody Burkett.
What Should I Wear?
That's a pretty common question. Here at Klamath Christian Center, we dress casual. Some dress business casual, while others come in jeans, shorts or T-shirts. We want you and everyone else to enjoy service, so dress comfortably. There's no established standard.
Whether you're looking for a church home or traveling through, we invite you to join us anytime!
